The Behaviour Standards and Wellbeing Directorate works to ensure that:

• schools are safe and supportive environments for learning and teaching

• there is a high level of student engagement in schooling at all levels

• the social and emotional wellbeing of students and staff is nurtured and developed

The Directorate:

• develops policy and resources

• supports district offices and schools in accessing information about and implementing departmental policies and processes

• supports district offices in providing programs of professional learning

• develops partnerships with other agencies
