The Behaviour Management in Schools policy (now available on the Department’s Our Policies site) outlines a requirement for all public schools to develop a strategy for the prevention and management of bullying as part of their school’s behaviour management planning. To assist schools to do this the Department has developed a template which consists of the mandatory elements of this strategy, such as the definition of bullying and the use of terminology, and suggestions and guidelines for the non-mandatory elements. This template will support schools to plan effectively for the prevention and management of bullying.
