Preparing for school-site related emergencies and critical incidents is crucial to minimise any trauma and distress to students and staff and damage to property.
The school principal/site manager is responsible for implementing an effective emergency management plan that will:
- reduce the likelihood of emergencies and critical incidents
- minimise the impact on students, staff and site activities
- facilitate the return of the site to normal operations as soon as possible in an event of an emergency/critical incident
