Improving Attendance: A Resource Package For Schools


Improving Attendance: a resource package for schools has been revised.  This second edition contains a range of successful practice case studies as ‘Spotlights on school attendance’.  Each chapter is available for download as a pdf together with editable word templates for schools.

This edition of Improving Attendance contains:
  • Information about the Attendance Audit
  • WA attendance facts
  • WA Aboriginal Child Health Survey information
  • Emphasis on the importance of attendance record keeping
  • Checklists, questions and information about focus groups
  • Information on young carers, school refusal and children with chronic physical or mental health problems
  • Documented attendance plan samples and templates

Schools are encouraged to print the chapters double-sided and replace the original chapters in the Improving Attendance resource first published in 2006.
A future review is planned for 2012.
